Mrs. Catherine Lucille Hagans passed away on July 10, 2015, in Fairhope, Alabama. She was born on December 30, 1925 in Wewahitchka, Florida to William Fryley and Martha Pauline Cook. She grew up in the Panama City area. She graduated from Bay High School in Panama City. Lucille married Ernest Hagans Jr. in 1946 in Panama City and they were happily married for 56 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Society with the Masons. She achieved the position of Worthy Matron for her Lodge Order. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Panama City and was a member of the Classey Ladies Women's Group. She enjoyed needlepoint, sewing and watching television.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Cathy Lou Hagans; and son, William Ernest (Ernie) Hagans and wife Dolly Ruth Hagans; three grandchildren, Cory Alan Hagans and wife Jessica, Carl Adam Hagans and wife Amanda and Casey Alanna Kennedy; eleven great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Anne Cook; niece, Charla Boggs, nephew, Craig Cook and wife Sheila Cook and their children and grandchildren.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Hagans Jr.; her parents, William Fryley and Martha Pauline Cook; her sisters, Irene Pitts and husband Versie Pitts and Floie Whitehurst and husband Oscar Whitehurst; her brother, William Fryley Cook Jr. and other aunts and uncles.
Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Highway 231 in Panama City at 1:00 o'clock pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2015.
