CATHERINE LOUISE BROWN

Catherine Louise Brown, 85, of Panama City Beach, Florida, passed away Friday, January 19, 2007 at a local nursing home. She was born on February 13, 1921 in Birmingham, Alabama to Frank Harrison Campbell and Clara Miller Campbell. She was a homemaker and loved to quilt and make dolls. She was a resident of Panama City Beach, Florida since 2000 after moving here from Bessemer, Alabama to live with her daughter, Dottie Norris. She was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great-Grandmother and friend to many people who were fortunate enough to have known her over the years. She is survived by four children, Dorothy "Dottie" Norris, of Panama City Beach, Jerry Lee Brown, of Louisiana, Wilma Childress and husband Ed and William Brown, both of Bessemer, Alabama, 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Oscar Lee Brown, two sons, Oscar Leon Brown and Jerry Wayne Brown, daughter-in-law, Denise Brown and grandson, Randy Allen Dodd. She was Baptist by faith and a member of Trace Crossing Independent Missionary Baptist Church in Hoover, Alabama. We thank God for sharing her with us for all these years. She will be dearly missed. Our loss is Heaven's gain. We would like to thank Covenant Hospice and the entire staff at Glencove Nursing Home for the excellent care and especially the love they gave our mom while she was in their care. Funeral services will be held in Hoover, Alabama at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Hoover, Alabama.
