Cassie Loree Meyer, age 53, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Cassie is survived by her precious children, Luke and Ella Gisclair. She is also survived by her father, Tom Buttermore and her brother, John Meyer, and by numerous friends, who were family. Cassie graduated from Bay High School, Gulf Coast State College and the University of Florida, undergraduate and law school. She was a member of Florida Blue Key and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, where she made lifelong friends.

Cassie was a beautiful person inside and out. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She adored hosting large gatherings, and her gift of hospitality was felt by many. Whether it was hosting family holidays, team dinners, neighbors or friends, Cassie loved sharing her home with those she loved most. Her infectious laugh and brilliant smile will always be remembered. Cassie was an unwavering Florida Gator and Dallas Cowboy football fan and enjoyed tailgating and attending games. Cassie loved spending time at the beach, and trips to Seaside were among her favorites.

Cassie also had a successful career as an attorney. She was employed by Nelson Mullins Law Firm for over 20 years.

Cassie was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Buttermore, maternal grandparents, Glenn and Helen Utter, and paternal grandmother, Mary Jane Buttermore.

A service will be held in Panama City on Saturday March 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. (CT) at Wilson's Funeral Home, 214 Airport Road Panama City, FL. Visitation will be at 10:00. A Celebration of Life will be held in Tampa, FL at a date to be determined.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Ronald McDonald House (Alpha Delta Pi's philanthropy) or a charity of your choice.
