CARY A. WORTHINGTON
Cary A. Worthington, 90, of Panama City, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in his home. He was born December 1, 1922 in Vernon, Florida. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He attended Lynn Haven United Methodist Church and the Lively Stone Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Vernon Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gettis Worthington, Elton Worthington and two sisters, Tiney Everett and Ruby Cutts. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Worthington; one daughter, Mona Guidas; one son, Steven Worthington; one grandson, Dillon Guidas; special family friends, Mika, Ethan, Ronnie; two sisters, Lettie Smith, Shirley Squires; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to Emerald Coast Hospice, 2925 Martin Luther King Blvd, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Cary Worthington.
