Carolyn S. Walker, 85, of Panama City, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015. She was born in Macon, Georgia on August 9, 1929. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.E. "Gene" Walker. She is survived by her two daughters, Mitzie G. Hicks and husband, William Goodwin Hicks, III of Baton Rouge, LA, Dee Dee Pledger and husband, Dennis Pledger of Panama City; grandchildren, Happi Hicks Hoffer (Ronnie), Holli Hicks Keenan (Mark), Calvin McLean Tayes, Corry McLean (Mandy), J. Adam Albritton (Olivia), Kaydeebeth Albritton, Abel Albritton; seven great grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015 in the C.C. Moore Chapel at First Baptist Church of Panama City with Rev. Bill Sears and Abel Albritton officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1200, Panama City, Florida 32402 or to Covenant Hospice, 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, Florida 32405. The family wishes to send a special thanks to the staff at Covenant Hospice and to her special caretakers, Robert and Lewellyn Denmark.
