CAROLYN ANN PARKER ROBERTS

Mrs. Carolyn Ann Parker Roberts passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at a local health care center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City. Mrs. Roberts was employed by the International Paper Company for over 44 years as order and billing clerk. She was a member of "The Paper Dolls" (retired International Paper Company Employees). She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed reading her Bible and novels. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Durell Roberts, Jr. and her parents, Charles Wesley Parker, Sr and Jessie; sisters, Virginia Parker Thomas, Edwina Parker Sweeney, and Florence Parker Gilbert; one brother, Charles Wesley Parker, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories a sister, Peggy Parker Sarvis McDonough, of Mobile, AL; and several nieces and nephews, Sharon Caister (John), Nancy Holmes (Bobby), Julie Gilbert, Ken Thomas (Anita), and Ron Sarvis (Gail). Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in the Parker Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, her wishes were for memorial donations to be made to the First Baptist Church of Panama City Building Fund, P.O. Box 1200, Panama City, FL 32402.
