Carolyn Watts Mitchell, 82, passed away peacefully on the morning of February 25, 2026. Born July 18, 1943, in Panama City, Florida, to Irvin and Frances Watts, Carolyn lived a life marked by love, conviction, and an unmistakable spark that made her unforgettable.
Vivacious and full of life, Carolyn was a woman of deep beliefs and unwavering strength of character. She lived with range—real range. She could be found cooking comfort meals for her children and grandchildren one day, casting a fishing line beside her son the next, and dancing to disco with her daughters any chance she got. She offered advice freely and lovingly to anyone who needed it, always with that signature blend of honesty, humor, and heart.
Carolyn is joining her brother; Jimmy, Son; Jason Eric, and grandson; Logan in their eternal heavenly home. She is survived by her sister, Becky and her three children: Donna Peace; Spouse, Keith, Donavan Mitchell; Spouse, Nanci, and Shannon Dain. Her legacy continues in her five grandchildren—Lauren, Dixie, Harmoni, Savanna, and Keifer—and in her nine great-grandchildren: Mitchell, Devin, Adara, Atticus, Benjamin, Alice, Malikai, Zackariah, and America - along with several nieces and nephews. Each one carries a piece of her bold spirit, her laughter, and her love.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a viewing from 2:00–3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Carolyn lived fully, loved fiercely, and left the world brighter than she found it. Her family takes comfort in knowing her light lives on in every generation she touched.
