Carolyn "Jean" Illies, 79, of Ocala, FL, passed away on August 3, 2021. She was born on July 19, 1942 to Otis and Verna (Elliott) Billington (deceased) in Granite, OK. Jean was a very strong-willed and independent person.  She had a very sassy personality, a great sense of humor, and a very big and giving heart.  Jean was an animal lover, who loved her cats and dogs as if they were her own children.  She enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family. Jean was a member of the Red Hat Society in Ocala, FL.  She was a devout Catholic, and a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. She is survived by her sons, Darren (Melita) Pratt of Altus, OK, Brian (Sharon) Pratt of Monterey, TN, and Allen (Maura) Pratt of Panama City, FL, Michael Illies of Chandler, AZ, and Stephen Illies of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter, Elizabeth (Joe) Miller of Gilbert, AZ; and niece, Gina O'Bannon, Jarrell, TX.  She was the proud grandmother of 23 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many devoted friends. Preceded in death by her husband Jerome "Jerry" Illies; sisters, Karen and Sharon Billington (twins), and Janice Billington.  Memorial Mass on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church at 1:30 P.M. Family recommends memorial contributions to Ocala Humane Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, The Independent Fund or your favorite veteran's organization.
