Obituary

Carleton "Hugh" Miller, 98, of Panama City, FL went home to be with the Lord Wednesday May 4, 2016. He was born February 5, 1918 in Bonifay, FL to Carleton Jefferson & Caroline Matilda Beatty Miller. After the death of his father, he moved to Red Head, FL and was raised by his aunt and uncle J.R. Moody Sr. & Corine Miller Moody. He retired from the United States Army and was stationed at Hickem Field during the Pearl Harbor invasion, where he received the Bronze Star. He is survived by his sister, Mary Catherine Jinks; special caregiver, Frances Nichols and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the Greenwood Cemetery with his great-nephew Rev. Russell Dorch officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch Inc. PO Box 2000 Boys Ranch, FL 32064 or your favorite charity in memory of Hugh Miller.
