CARL LEE MELCHER
Carl Lee Melcher, 72, of Alford, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009. He was born February 9, 1937 in Vaiden, Mississippi. He served in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his son, Carl Lee Melcher, Jr., sister, Helen Galardi and brother, Cornelius Melcher. He is survived by wife, Kathleen Melcher, four children, Lauren Melcher, Deborah Lynn Girlinghouse and husband Roy, Lisa Miller and husband Vincent, Michael Melcher and wife Tanya; 13 grandchildren, Jerrod, Kristen, Jordan, Vance, Kyle, Alex, Ashley, Zackary, Kayla, Taylor, Jacob, Dustin, Meagan; one great grandson, Aden and brother, Clinton Melcher. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Evangel Worship Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 in memory of Carl Melcher.
