IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Capt. Daniel
Norton Frudaker
December 10, 1949 – May 30, 2023
Capt. Daniel Norton Frudaker made his final voyage on May 30, 2023 following several years of failing health. Norty was born December 10, 1949 in Panama City, grew up in the Cove, attended Central Baptist Church where he was baptized, and was a Bay High graduate. He never met a stranger and always had a funny story to tell.
Locally he will be remembered for his boat handling and fishing abilities, as a Captain in the charter fishing industry. He left the local area to pursue a career in the Oilfield Maritime Industry where he was in constant demand as a Captain on Supply and Towing vessels due to his experience and vessel handling skills. After working extensively in the Gulf of Mexico, South Atlantic, Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Thailand he retired and settled in Lynn Haven, Fl.
Norty was preceded in death by his parents, Capt. Thomas Norton Frudaker, Muriel Frudaker Tedesco, stepfather John R. Tedesco, and brother in law Tony Justice.
He is survived by his son Thomas Daniel Frudaker, siblings Tommie M. "Skipper" Powell (Butch), Capt. Richard N. Frudaker (Marsha), Betty Jane Justice, and Capt. James N. Frudaker (Kare), nieces, nephews and extended family.
A family memorial service will be held in Greenwood Cemetery.
