BURL G. RAINES
Burl G. Raines, 89, of Panama City, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at a local hospital. He was born on October 27, 1918 in Alabama. He was a retired Technical Sergeant for the U.S. Air Force having served during World War II. He was a member of the St. Andrew United Methodist Church and the Bethlehem Masonic Lodge in Bethlehem, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilou Williams Raines. He is survived by his son, Joel Raines and his wife, Susan, of Grayson, GA, two grandchildren, Taylor Raines and Maggie Raines and sister, Claudy Adams, of Montgomery, AL. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 – 8 p.m. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Oakland Terrace Men's Club in memory of Burl Raines.
