Bruce Hughes "Chip" Lloyd Jr. passed away Friday October 14th, 2011 in Panama City, FL
Bruce Hughes "Chip" Lloyd Jr. was born April 29th, 1953 in Panama City, FL. to Bruce and Martha Lloyd. A devoted member of the Panama City arts community, Chip shared his gift of photography with people all across the United States. A lifelong resident of Panama City, Chip owned and operated Chip Lloyd Photography. Chip was also passionate about music. As a teenager, Chip grew up playing bass guitar in his church youth group, was a proud member of The Bay High Million Dollar Band graduating in 1971, and most recently played the tuba in the orchestra at his church home, St. Andrew Baptist Church.
Chip was preceded in death by his mother Martha Amos Lloyd.
Chip is survived by his wife of 36 years Sherri Smith Lloyd of Panama City; son, Jeremy Lloyd and wife Whitney, of Pensacola; son, Jordan Lloyd and wife Ellen, of Columbus, MS.; two granddaughters, Isabella Corrinne Lloyd, and Madelyn Rebecca Lloyd; Father, Bruce Lloyd Sr. and wife Carolyn Lowry Lloyd; two sisters, Rebecca Lloyd Leger of Panama City and Joy Lloyd of Rockledge, FL.; one brother, David Lloyd of Panama City; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18th, 2011 6-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home in Panama City. A celebration of life will be held Oct. 19th, 2011 10am at St. Andrew Baptist Church in Panama City with Alan Permenter and Michael Claunch officiating.
