BRIAN JOHNSTON
Brian Johnston, of Panama City, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 in his home. He was born April 9, 1940 in Evanston, Illinois. He had been a resident of Panama City for the past 21 years. He was a retired Presbyterian Church of America Minister, having pastored First Presbyterian Church of Panama City and Christ Presbyterian Church. He also pastored First Presbyterian Church, Cedartown, GA, Casa Linda Presbyterian Church, Dallas, TX, and Westminster Fellowship in Johnson City, TN. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sue Wall Johnston; four beautiful daughters, Anne Marie Johnston, of Birmingham, AL, Krista Sue Harman (John), of Houston, TX, Faith Angela King (Brett Hart), of Jacksonville, FL, Hope Elizabeth Acevedo (Richard, Jr.) of Panama City; grandson, Sean Harman; two brothers, Karl Johnston (Susan), of Jonesboro, GA, Douglas Johnston (Karen), of Kennesaw, GA; brother-in-law, Angil "Sonny" Wall (Sue), of Monroe, GA; and sisters-in-law, Gloria Davis (William), of Buford, GA, Lody Johnston, of Jesup, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5 – 7 p.m. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the American Heart Association or to your local church.
