BRENDA ANN McKENZIE
Brenda Ann McKenzie, 45, of Lynn Haven, Florida, passed away January 22, 2010 in a local hospital. She was a 1983 graduate of Rutherford High School. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church for the past 23 years, where she also worked with the youth. She was also a volunteer with the Bay County Sheriff's Department Explorers and Junior Deputies. She is survived by her husband, Ryan "Kip" McKenzie, daughter, Ashley Kay McKenzie, son, Timothy Garrett McKenzie, parents, Roger and Margaret Melvin, brother, Lamar Melvin and wife Laura, nieces, Amanda Dossa and husband John, Kiersten McKenzie, nephew, Michael Lamar Melvin and wife, Vanessa; great niece, Jazmine Dossa; father and mother -in-law, Ted J.& Dale McKenzie, brothers-in-law, Dr. Kendall McKenzie and Dane McKenzie. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the First Assembly of God Church of Panama City with Rev. Phil Edwards and Rev. Bobby Thompson and Pastor Jonathan Bissig officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the members of the Bay County Sheriff's Department Explorers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. The family will be at the home of Roger Melvin, 206 Hill Drive.
