Bonnie Arlene Shelton Bartch Smith was born on February 26, 1928, in Texas County, MO, the youngest child of Roy and Dorothy Shelton.  She passed away gently in her sleep on September 15, 2022.  She was 94 years old.

Bonnie was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Vancil Shelton; and her sister, Bertha Murray.  She was also preceded in death by her first love and childhood sweetheart, her husband, Kenneth Lee Bartch, the father of her two daughters; and her second husband and dear companion, Gerald B. Smith, and two of his sons, Gerald and Allan Smith.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Vicky and husband Gary Keel; Nina and husband Tony Dean and sons, Justin and wife Kayla Barron, and Jacob and Noah Dean; and son, James Smith.

Dementia is a cruel and merciless thief that stole Mom's memories and much of her sense of self, but she is now in the presence of her Lord and reunited in joy with the many loved ones who went before her.  That fog of sadness, confusion, and forgetfulness has finally been lifted, and she is happy and at peace at last.

We remember Mama's unconditional love and look forward to her sweet, welcoming smile when we meet again.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the Lynn Haven Cemetery.
