Obituary

Bonnie Dean LaBrache a.k.a Nanny Goat of Panama City, Florida went to her heavenly home on December 5, 2019. Greeted by her "Lance"; husband of 62 years, was standing with the Lord to welcome her home. There was no more pain for Bonnie. Her big smile radiated while dancing and greeting her loved ones down the streets of gold.
Bonnie was born, July 17, 1930 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, daughter to the late Bonceil Balkam Thompson and John Ernest Thompson. She was a 1948 graduate from Bay High School. After marrying the love of her life, a year later they had their dear daughter, Julia Ann "Jude" LaBrache-Gross.
She worked as a credit manager at W. T. Grants department store. In her retirement, she was active with her Bay High Class Reunion Committee, loved to square dance, bowling, fishing and enjoying time with friends and family.
She was a member of Emerald Coast Fellowship. The "Owls" were the friends that were the family she was able to pick. Friends that would eat lunch at their favorite places, laugh and enjoy telling stories.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her loving husband William Lanclett LaBrache, parents Bonceil and John, two sisters Billie Dove Ward and Eddie Brookman, and one brother Ernest Edsel Thompson.
She is survived by her daughter Julia Ann "Jude" Gross, two granddaughters Ashley Brooke Page, husband Johnny and Allison Lindsay Gross, also a nephew Don Ward, wife Sandy.
Bonnie enjoyed every minute with her girls. Fishing, camping, swimming and teaching lessons of a lifetime including "Make sure you put lipstick on before going out the door", to name one. With her love and devotion to her girls she dedicated so much time to making them happy.
A special thanks to a friend for life, Kimberly Smith and her son in law (ex) Norman Gross for always being there by her side, making her days a little brighter.
