BOB PROWSE

Rev. Bob Prowse, 81, of Panama City Beach, formerly of Oak Hill, WV, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Glen Cove Nursing Pavilion in Panama City, Florida. Born June 11, 1930 in Kanawha County, West Virginia he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha June Garten Prowse.
He was a retired Methodist minister, having received instruction at the Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC. He served parishioners in West Virginia and Florida, including Red Bay and Otter Creek. He served in the United States Marine Corps and enjoyed his hobby as a ham radio operator in West Virginia and Florida. He was a charter member of Flotilla 19, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, 8th Coast Guard District, Florida.
He is survived by his sons, Steve (fiancé, Linda Peterson) and Kevin both of Panama City Beach; and his daughter, Beverly (Chuck) of Charleston, WV. Also surviving are grandsons, Derek (Oshina) and Dylan Prowse and Shanen (Michelle) Wright.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29 in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Red Bay Cemetery, Red Bay, FL. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Covenant Hospice, 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Bob Prowse.
