BILLIE K. CHATONEY
Billie K. Chatoney, 74, of Southport, passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. She was precious to those who knew and loved her and will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed. She was born August 9, 1938 in Delta City, Mississippi. She attended Business School at Mississippi State University. She was a Realtor with Kathrine Riley Real Estate. She was a member of Belles of North Bay Red Hat Society, Panama Country Club Bridge Club, the Southport Ladies Group and WAGA at Panama Country Club. She was a member of the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church where she attended the Tom Gildersleeve Sunday School Class. She volunteered for many activities throughout her church. Billie K. was preceded in death by her father, A.B. Brown, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Elizabeth Brown; husband, Bill Chatoney; three children, Mike Chatoney (Beth), Karen C. Williams (Lanier), Tammy Hales (Mike); seven grandchildren, Doug Williams (Jennifer), Mike Williams (Amanda), Jeff Hales (Holly), Lindsey Hall (Keith), Chris Hales (Julia), Landon Chatoney, Kayla Hales (fiancé, Garrett Barker); eight great grandchildren, Travis Dutton, Ryland Spitzer, Mikayla Agbay, Gracie Williams, Mikey Williams, Byron Hales, Ava Hales, Bennett Hales, all of Panama City; three brothers, Dewey Brown (Kaye) of Mobile, AL., Paul Brown (Cathy) of Rolling Fork, MS., Dr. Andrew Brown (Elizabeth) of Flowood, MS.; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family; and her special lifelong friends, Nancy Dantzler and Nancy Wyatt. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 5 in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Luther officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service. Active pallbearers will Doug Williams, Mike Williams, Jeff Hales, Chris Hales, Landon Chatoney, Keith Hall and Garrett Barker. The family would like to express our gratitude to her very special caregivers: Erica, Elaine, Mary, Tomeaka, Jessica, Tonya and Leisa. The family would also like to thank the staff of Covenant Hospice and her Drs. Maria Tedtaotao and Dr. Thompson C. Manor.
