Bill Wood, 71, of Port St. Joe, Fla., died March 30, 2015, in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1943, in Abbeville, AL and moved to Port St. Joe in August 1968. Bill was a math teacher, coach and an insurance agent. He enjoyed his family and friends, fishing and sports, especially football. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Kate Wood, his first wife Brenda Nelson Wood, his father, William J. Wood, Sr., his son Nelson Gregory "Greg" Wood. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Wood; his sons William Jeffery Wood (Sherry), A. Kristian Richbourg (Natalie) and Joseph Ryan Wood (Kasie); four grandchildren Mary-Kate Wood, Adrian Jacob "AJ" Richbourg, Kinsley Richbourg and William S. Wood; one brother, Russell Wood (Sharon) of Abbeville, AL and numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 pm EST Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Port St. Joe. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm EST Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church of Port St. Joe with Rev. Dr. Geoffrey D. Lentz and Rev. David Fernandez officiating. Graveside services will follow in Holly Hill Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Greg Johnson, Billy Carr, Joey Wood, Hiram Nix, Leslie McNabb and Keith Forehand.
