Obituary

On September 27, 2009, our precious mother Bettye Ruth Whited Moseley took a step into the portals of glory to be forever with God the Father and Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We praise the Lord for the mercy He has granted in this difficult trial of life and death. Psalm 103:17 says "But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children."

She was born February 3, 1925, in Tait's Gap, Alabama, to Lazarus W. & Vivian Irene Ivey Whited. She was married to Chatman Moseley on May 30, 1941. She was a member of the Forest Park United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother (1953), father (1972), adopted brother, Jack Ivey Whited (1980), husband (1985) and grandson Dane M. Moseley (1986).

Children left to treasure her memory are, John Michael (Mickey) Moseley and wife Nancy Knott Moseley; Larry Dane Moseley and wife Joanne Jones Moseley; Lynn Moseley Mills and husband Dink Mills; Dianne Moseley Buckley and husband Milton Buckley; and Dave Moseley; 7 grandchildren, Jacob Moseley, Jeanne Moseley, Chance Mills, Allen Mills and wife Sandy, Branden Mills, Breanne Buckley Wood and husband Blake and Mackenzie Buckley, 7 great grandchildren, Jay Moseley, Chatman Berry, Cameron Berry, Candice Mills Browning, Haley Mills, Delon Mills, Blakely Grace Wood, 1 great great grandson, Parker Browning, sister-in-law, Mavis Moseley, cousin, Betty Jean Nolin, nephew, John Andrew Morrow, nieces, Felicia Morrow Metcalf, Sandy Moseley Destival, and Faye Moseley Register.

A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Friedman and Pastor Tom Tillery officiating.
