Betty Calvert Weathers was born on December 26, 1927 and died on May 16, 2017. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Preceding her in death were five brothers and her husband of 44 years, Royce Mize Weathers. She is survived by two sons, Leonard Weathers of Miami, Florida, and Steve Weathers (Dora) of Abilene, Texas; two daughters, Terri Sewell (Erven) and Jan Dykes (Tim) of Panama City, Florida. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Samuel Sewell (Rachael) of St. Paul, Minnesota, Jonathan Sewell (Nicole) of Samson, Alabama, Mark Weathers of Canyon, Texas, Christy Overall (Joel) of Nashville, Tennessee, Sara Kane (Sean) of Port Orchard, Washington, and Liam Dykes of Panama City, Florida; four great grandsons, Sawyer, Zander and Fisher Sewell of Samson, Alabama, Eli Sewell of St. Paul, Minnesota; and one great granddaughter, Vivian Sewell of Samson, Alabama. Services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday May 21, 2017 at 2 pm, followed by a private family burial service at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm Sunday prior to the service.
