Betty Jean Merkle, born on December 11, 1956, in Panama City, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2024, in Panama City Beach, Florida.

She was the beloved daughter of Robert and Aubon Hathaway.  Betty is survived by her children, Duane Turner and his wife Lauren, and Amy Turner, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, and Owen Turner. She is also survived by her siblings Evelyn, Ronnie, Jackie, Norma, and Larry.

Betty will be remembered for her extraordinary compassion and her selfless nature. She consistently put the needs of others before her own, offering love and support to anyone in need.  Her greatest pride came from helping those around her, making a significant impact on the lives of many.

Above all, Betty cherished her time spent with family and her beloved dogs. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Betty's loving spirit and unwavering kindness will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on October 15th at 2PM.
