BETTY MAE KNIGHT
Betty Mae Knight, 91, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010. She was born December 27, 1918 in Jackson County, Florida. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph H. (Bud) Knight; son, Joseph T. (Tommy) Knight, son-in-law, Didier Vanfleteren and sister, Vesta Lee Adams Prevatte.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Jane Atchison and husband Ray; wonderful granddaughter, JoAnn Vanfleteren; two precious great-grandchildren, Madeleine Vanfleteren, Thomas Vanfleteren; daughter-in-law, Ann Knight and sister, Theatrice Johnson.
She shared a full and happy Christian life with her husband and family. She attended First Baptist Church of Panama City for many years, before moving to Pensacola to be with her family.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens next to her beloved husband, Bud. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 – 10 a.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Covenant Hospice of Pensacola, 2001 N Palafox Street, Pensacola, FL 32501 in memory of Betty M. Knight.
