BETTY MARIE HEDGES
Betty Marie Hedges, 81, of Panama City, Florida, passed away April 23, 2011 in a local nursing home. She was born January 22, 1930 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Lemich and Ada Laughery Starkey. She was a retired telephone operator and bank teller. She was a member of the VFW, Moose's Lodge and Eagles Club in Fairmont, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack R. Hedges, companion, Hap Moran and sister, Anna Boyce. She had been a resident of Panama City for 7 years, moving here from Fairmont West Virginia. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Key and husband, Kenneth, grandson, George W. Myers and fiancée Jennifer Pickett, and great grandson, George Bruce Myers. Services will be held at a later date in West Virginia.
