BESSIE PHILLIPS BARTON
Bessie Phillips Barton, 91, of Panama City, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 14, 2010. She was born January 11, 1919 in Graceville, Florida to Daniel Joseph & Nancy Rachel Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max H. Barton, Sr., daughter, Glenda A. Dutton and son, Dale Barton. She is survived by her son, Max H. Barton, Jr., brother, James "Jimmy" Phillips, granddaughter, Deborah A. Dutton, son-in-law, James Dutton and special caregiver, Donald Whyle. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service. Active pallbearers will be Ron Landegent, Mike MacMullin, Randy Dorriety, Mark Laramore, Bill Bradley and Bobby Joe Phillips.
