IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bebe Harris
Vaughn
November 9, 1939 – February 11, 2022
Bebe Harris Vaughn, 82, formerly of Panama City, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 11, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born to John and Mae Harris on November 9, 1939 in Birmingham, Alabama.
She was a beloved wife, mother, homemaker, servant, and pastor's wife. She loved teaching the Bible, cooking for her church and her family, and would often be heard singing her favorite hymns. She lived out her faith in every area of her life. She was saved at a very young age, and she never wavered in her love for the Lord.
She met her husband Jed at Howard College. It was love at first sight for the both of them. They were married on August 9, 1957 and have been married 64 years. Their love and adoration for each other was clear to anyone who met them.
Her happiest times were when her family was spending time together whether it was at the beach, a Sunday lunch, traveling, or a meal out. She and Jed would travel to all the church plays, graduations, competitions, and other activities to support everything her family did. Her kids and grandkids brought her tremendous joy, and nothing made her happier than for them to walk through her door! Family was everything to her and she always made sure we all knew how much we were loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mae Harris; brothers, Bill Harris and David Harris; son, John Murphy Vaughn and granddaughter, Bebe Schiefer. She is survived by her husband, Jed Karey Vaughn; children, Leslie Schiefer (Robb), Jed Vaughn (Marci), Jason Vaughn (Kelly) and Shelley Adams (Donald); grandchildren, Robbie Schiefer (Shannon), Derek Schiefer (Christina), Karen Sterett (Sam), Morgan Schisler (Kyle), Jed K. "Trey" Vaughn III, Nick Adams, Zachary Vaughn (Alex), Ben Adams (Brittany), Madison Adams, Elijah Vaughn, Jesse Vaughn and Zoe Vaughn; Great Grandchildren, Alyssa, Carrington, Hudson, Lilly, Evelyn, Emery, Cohen, Nolan, Andersen, Landon, Rowan, Greyson, and soon to be Henry and Shepherd.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Cummings officiating.
