IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara
Dildy
May 10, 1937 – December 4, 2016
Barbara "Bobbie" Dildy, longtime resident of Panama City, Florida, died Sunday, December 4th at the Covenant Hospice Wing at Bay Medical Center. She was surrounded by family as she quietly took her last breaths after suffering from health complications following a stroke.
Bobbie was born in Biloxi, MS on May 10, 1937 to Inez & Joseph Kneale. She attended Biloxi High School and later worked at the high school and then at Mavar Shrimp & Oyster Company as a secretary. In 1959, she married Clell Dildy, Jr. During her marriage she lived in Glenburnie, MD and Mobile, AL and Panama City, FL. She and Clell Jr. had two children, Clell III and Diana (Logue).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clell Jr., her parents, Inez (Boney) & Joseph Kneale, her son-in-law Lance Logue, and Clell III's fiancée, Andrea King-Kelly. Survivors include her children, Clell Dildy III (and his fiancée Tina Stone-Braswell) and Diana Logue of Panama City; grandchildren Andrew of Asheville, NC, Neal and Marina Logue of Panama City; sister Dolores (Kneale) Smith of Biloxi, MS; sister Elaine (Kneale) Knafla of Tampa, FL; her sister and brother-in-law Judy & Jerry Dildy of Ocean Springs, MS; along with nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Bobbie had a terrific sense of humor and was full of life. Some of her interests included antique shopping, watching British comedies, collecting dolls, reading her Kindle, and assembling her next adorable outfit. On occasion she enjoyed a fried oyster po-boy and a cold Barq's Rootbeer. She always greeted family and friends with an upbeat, "Hey!". She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed greatly until we see her again and hear her trademark "hey!" inside the pearly gates.
A visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 214 Airport Road, Panama City, FL on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at the Forest Lawn Cemetery on Thursday at 2 p.m.
