BARBARA JONES BONDS
Barbara Jones Bonds, 85, of Panama City went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 2, 2007. She was born Feb. 22, 1921 in Kansas City, Missouri. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1980. She graduated from the Univ. of Texas with an English degree and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Bonds, her sister Patsy Lippitt, and her husband of 52 years, Jim Bonds. She was a devout Christian and an active member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. She is survived by two children, Mike Bonds of El Paso, TX, and Patti Clements of Colorado Springs, CO; niece, Ashby Hunnicutt and husband Mike Hunnicutt; four grandchildren Joseph Bonds, Elijah Bonds, and Andrew Bonds of Tyler, TX, Joshua Clements of Colorado Springs, CO; great-granddaughter Sarah Bonds; great nieces and nephew Elizabeth Scott, Nelson Scott and Caroline Hunnicutt of Panama City. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held Wed. Feb. 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Park United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Friedman and the Rev.Tom Tillery officiating. Those desiring to make a contribution may do so to Forest Park United Methodist Church.
