Barbara Geib Aycock, 87 died peacefully in Panama City Beach after a short illness. She lived well, and graced many with her humor, good taste, and a generosity that was so broad it affected almost all she met and truly defined her life. Rarely has an individual more truly deserved the epitaph that she had a heart of gold. Not to say she was without temper as she fought all injustices she witnessed, not towards herself but towards those about her. She loved many and the world is a little darker as a result of her passing. A fierce loyalty often made her a champion of causes and many gained support for ambitions and projects as much for her desire to see others succeed so as to be a contributor to the lives of those around her. She lived deeply and well. It was her explicit wish to not request gifts or donations in her memory, nor flowers, not even a memorial. Instead she simply asked that those who knew her recognize her love of life, know she celebrated their company and shared memories often and appreciated her life and the events good and bad for the wealth they afforded her in friendships and family.
