Aubrey Lamar Hutchison

Aubrey "Lamar" Hutchison, 82, of Panama City, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Lamar was a native and life-long resident of Panama City. He graduated from Florida State University, served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and retired from the City of Panama City after 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Katherine; his step-children, Scott Mathis (Jennifer), Tom Cumbie (Salli); grandchildren, Vivian and Zinnia Boyd-Mathis, and Jay and Sam Cumbie.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Wilson Funeral Home from 4:00 — 6:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Oakland Cemetery, 11th Street and Balboa Avenue at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Clyde Ellison of First Baptist Church of Panama City and Rev. Jim Hankins of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Hutchison's name can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1200, Panama City, FL 32402; or Calvary Baptist Church, 1529 Mulberry Avenue, Panama City, FL 32405 or to your favorite charity.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Gulf Coast Medical Center ICU for their care and concern. Also the family wishes to thank his special friends Bobby Higdon, Joe Moore and J.W. Silcox.
