Annie Pearl "Lee" Pryor Balkom, "Nanny" was born August 28, 1915, in Darlington, Florida. She passed away on January 23, 2017, in Panama City, Florida.

She was predeceased by her husband, Claude Alton Balkom, son, W. Sherrill Balkom (Drusilla), son-in-law, Darnell Potter, siblings, Dora Smith (Harold), Gordon Pryor (Margaret), Marlin Pryor, Daffin Pryor, Charlie Pryor (Irene), Chapman Pryor (Nollie), Mary Pryor Danley (French), Martha Pryor Henderson (Reason), Dorothy Helms (Jim), and J.C. Pryor (Elizabeth). She is survived by her daugher, Joan Balkom Potter, of Panama City, and her son, Tony Craig Balkom, of Alabama; eight grandchildren, Eric Balkom (Dawn) of Texas, Paige Balkom Bacile, Kirsten Balkom, and Dr. Ashley Balkom Alberty (Craig) of Louisiana, Rachel Potter Farris (James) of Florida, Stephanie Balkom Wilson (Marvin) of Tennessee, Suzanne Potter Vann (Shane) of Florida, Kendal Balkom Scheidt (Mike) of Virginia, 17 great grandchildren: Taylor and Cameron Balkom; Haley Vermeulen, Hannah, Corrie and Callie Bacile; Jessica Block; Cole Alberty; Kayla, Caroline and Carter Farris; Stephen Ramsey, Brandon Mitchem and Cameron Webb; Connor and Kingsley Vann; Cadence Scheidt, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

The family will be eternally grateful for the love and support shown by the staffs at Lisenby Retirement Center and Covenant Hospice. In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make donations to Covenant Hospice at 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, Florida, 32405. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday at 10 AM at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
