ANNIE RUTH HOPKINS
Annie Ruth Hopkins, 74, of Panama City, died Friday, March 23, 2007 in her home. She was born April 14, 1932 in Defuniak Springs, FL. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1972 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sunnyside. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles F. Gainey, Ruth Gainey, her siblings, Jacqueline Waddell, Billie Matthews, Bertha Faircloth, Eva Owens, Alfred Walden, Sam Walden, Bernice Gainey, and Clyde Gainey. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rev. William Dennis Hopkins; son, John W. Hopkins and wife, Lisa; 2 grandchildren, Charles E. Hopkins, Kristen N. Hopkins; all of Panama City; sister, Doris Guess of Gulf Breeze, FL; 3 brothers, George Walden, Robert Walden, Clyde Edward Gainey, all of Bristol, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. CST in the Mitchum Cemetery, Bristol, FL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Monday. Those desiring may make a contribution to Covenant Hospice, 107 W. 19th St., Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Annie Ruth Hopkins.
