IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Annie Jean
Davis Smith
May 14, 1931 – February 15, 2021
Annie Jean Davis Smith never met a person that she did not befriend, love and tell about Jesus. If you knew Jean, you loved her. Jean was passionately devoted to her God, family, church family and friends. She departed this world on February 15, 2021, 89 years of age. Jean was born in Newville, AL on May 14, 1931 to Annie Lillian and Ernest Lamar Sanders. Jean was mother to Richard Davis, Nancy Tolar, Charla Barnes and Vickie Costello. She raised her children with love and devotion in Panama City, FL with their beloved father, Donald D. Davis. Jean was known as a pastor's wife for many years as she and Don served together. Later her prayer card ministry became her passion as she encouraged those the Lord placed on her heart. She was told by many "Your card came just when I needed it most." Once she and prayer partner, Joanne Everitt sent cards to every school teacher, who was a member of her church, before school started. She loved to bake banana nut bread and cook vegetable soup to share with family, friends and neighbors. She is predeceased by her second spouse, Al smith, who she enjoyed traveling with. She is survived by her children, Nancy Tolar and Charla Barnes; grandchildren, Mindy Yachter, Lisa Blume, Stephanie Martin, Luke Tolar, Tyson Davis, Brianna Mitchell, Kirsti Robinson (deceased); great grandchildren, Taylor, Kate, Bailey and Connor Robinson, Juliet, Belle and Joseph Yachter, Liam Blume, Ethan and Caleb Tolar, Madison Martin, Maddie Davis; brother, Kenneth L. Sanders; sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Mama is missed so much already! Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery at 3 pm on Sunday, February 21, 2021.
