Georgia Annette Gamble Massey, 84, of Panama City, FL went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. She was born on August 27, 1934 in Henry County, AL to John Alex and Edna Earl Gamble. She was a faithful member of City Church @ Northside for the past 54 years, where she taught Sunday School, GA's, VBS, children's choir, sang in the adult choir and offered her support in many other ways. She was still an active part of the "Massey Sunday School" where she dearly loved each member as her own. She and her husband, Jim, moved to Panama City in 1955 where they opened and owned Auto Save Tire Store of 50 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother where her home was always filled with love, laughter and home cooked meals. Her pound cake would speak for itself. Annette's kind spirit always exemplified the love of Christ. She made everyone she came in contact with feel they were special to her. Her hobbies included cooking, keeping up with the latest fashion, shopping, Thursday hair day and supporting her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Massey; son, Phillip Massey; two brothers, Gene Gamble, James Gamble; two sisters, Elizabeth Gamble and Jackie Gamble Brownlee. She is survived by two daughters, Kim Gann (Phil), Cindy Scott (Mike); daughter-in-law, Marsha Massey; ten grandchildren, Clete Thomas (Susie), Cayla Anderson (Ryan), Alex Gann, Katie Scott, Slayton Scott Morrison (Miller), Holly Scott, Olivia Scott, Trent Massey (Adrienne), William Massey, Jack Massey; seven great grandchildren, Brooks Thomas, Savannah Thomas, Mattie Thomas, Tillie Thomas, Hank Thomas, James Anderson, Blakely Anderson; one brother-in-law, Robert Brownlee; numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 4 pm at City Church @ Northside Annex with Rev. Luther Stanford and Rev Jerry Moore officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2-4 pm prior to the service. In honor of Annette and her love for Alabama football, the family requests those attending to wear their best crimson, white or black. A private family graveside will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make memorial donations to the Children's and Youth Ministries c/o City Church @ Northside.
