Ann Bannerman Gray, 88, of Panama City passed away at her home on January 13, 2013. A lifelong resident of Panama City, Mrs. Gray was a graduate of Bay High School and attended Florida State College for Women. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Panama City, singing in the choir for many decades and serving as a deacon. She was one of the 20 charter members of the Jr. Service League of Panama City. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, David Benjamin Gray. Mrs Gray is survived by her five children: Angeline Meredith and husband, Tom; Mae Morris and husband, Rod; Marie Bazzel and husband, Harold; Inez McCloy and husband, Ross; and Ben Gray. She was the grandmother of Mary Ann Wade, Gray Meredith, Melanie Aikin, Ann Morris, Margaret Hitchcock, Kay Breed, Angeline Wamberg, and Ben McCloy. She was the great grandmother of 10. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Panama City. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Tom Meredith, Rod Morris, Harold Bazzel, Ross McCloy, Ben McCloy, and Brett Hitchcock. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Manning, Carl Russ, and Donald Wasson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 100 E. 7th St., Panama City, Florida 32401 in memory of Ann Gray. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to her caregivers, especially Teresa Haisten for 3 years of friendship and loving devotion.
