Obituary

Anjel Sarkissian Tezel, 85, of Panama City Beach, died Friday, December 19, 2008 in Gulf Coast Medical Center. She was born July 12, 1923 in Istanbul, Turkey and was the mother of twins. She immigrated to the United States in 1970 and lived in New York City til 1998. She was a retired seamstress and sample maker for Givenchy and Anne Klein. She moved to Panama City in 1998 after her husband retired. She spoke many languages including Greek, Armenian, Turkish, French and some Spanish and English. She was preceded in death by her husband, Baruyr Tezel. She is survived by a son, Nick Tomlakci of Panama City Beach; daughter, Irma Akmanoglu of Paris, France; 2 granddaughters, Tonia, Christine, great grandson, Nickolai; sister, Malvine Tezel; 2 nephews, Arman Tezel and John Tezel. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Mushegh Kaloustian officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the Karageozian-Armenian Children's Orphanage
