Obituary

Angeline Russ Manning, 92, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022. She was born September 29, 1929, in Panama City, FL and attended Bay High School and received her bachelor's degree in education and social studies from Florida State University. Growing up she lived in St. Andrews and loved going to the bay, playing in the water and along the beach. As a young girl she was involved in Girl Scouts, church groups, dance and piano lessons and junior sailing at the yacht club. She loved teaching history to middle school aged students locally at Jinks, but also many other states including Georgia, Alaska, and Maryland. She enjoyed teaching because she said no two days were the same. She adored her husband Joe who passed away in 2017. They traveled all over the world together for both work and play. Joe served in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. They were stationed in many different states across the United States, and they also enjoyed traveling overseas. Angeline also loved all of her family members and dear friends, seeing their faces and hearing their voices always made her smile. She had a passion for her ever-growing flowers and enjoyed cooking her favorite recipes in her kitchen. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she was part of the church choir. She also enjoyed decorating the church for special occasions and especially the holidays, Christmas and Easter. She was also a member of the Panama City Woman's Club, the St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club, and a sorority sister of Pi Beta Phi.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Joseph T. Manning, and her parents Carl Samuel Russ and Mildred Bannerman Russ. She is survived by her daughter, Mimi Clark (Terry); two grandchildren, Angie Hall (Korey) and Charlie Smith; great granddaughter, Milly Hall; brother Carl Samuel Russ (Ella); her long lasting friendships with Victor and Maria Maya and Eddie McLin, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Wilson Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends from 1-2 p.m. and the service starting at 2 p.m. A private family internment will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, remembrance if desired may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Panama City Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1878, Panama City, FL 32402  in memory of Angeline.
