ALTHEA DOREEN TIBBETTS
Althea Doreen Tibbetts, 100, of Panama City, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010 in her home. She was born March 1, 1910 in Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands, B.W.I. to James Ryan and Emma Ritch Scott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Harvey Tibbetts and two sons, Airley Tibbetts and Kelvin Tibbetts. She is survived by four sons, Ansley Tibbetts and wife Christine, of Beaumont, TX, James Tibbetts and wife Carol, of Antioch, CA, Clifford Tibbetts, Port Arthur, TX, Donald Tibbetts and wife Carolyn, of Tallahassee, FL; two daughters, Dareene Mattke, of Panama City Beach, Ann Louise Newell, of Holly Springs, NC; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kelvin (Louise) Tibbetts, of St. Petersburg, FL; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Port Arthur, TX. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Emerald Coast Hospice, 2925 Martin Luther King Blvd, Panama City, FL 32405, Council on Aging, 116 Frankford Avenue, Panama City, FL 32401 or to Covenant Hospice, 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405. The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Sandy Dennis and Jennifer Blanks, of Lisenby Home Health and also Ashley Sawyer of Covenant Hospice for their excellent care.
