Alfred Buell "Bill" Murfee, 94, of Panama City, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. He was born February 4, 1921 in Chipley, Florida. He retired from the United States Postal Service and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Bill served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and in the Panama Canal. He was preceded in death by his parents Rozzie F. and Juliet Murfee; brothers, Blanford Murfee and Turner Murfee. He is survived by his wife Betty Darling Murfee; 2 daughters, Pamela J. Murfee Corrington (Robert); Paula J. Murfee; 2 grandchildren, Bradley S. Morian (Sara), Amanda L. Morian Neal (Brian); 2 great grandchildren, Daniel Aidan Morian, Nathaniel Harmon Neal; nieces and nephews, James Murfee (Patricia), Barbara Barnes, Michael Murfee (Bessie), Ronald Murfee (Betty), Gail Knowles, Charlotte Strickland (Glen); and many other extended family members. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Sean Peters officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a donation to the charity of your choice or to Covenant Hospice in memory of Alfred Murfee.
