ALENE MOELLER

Alene Moeller, 78, of Panama City went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 13, 2006, at a local hospital. She was born in Pensacola, Florida on May 11, 1928. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a long time active member of Central Baptist Church and the Athlea Sunday School Class. She retired from Gulf Coast Community College as the Bookstore manager in 1993 after many dedicated years of serving the students and college where she "adopted" many students over the years. She had a unique gift for making everyone she came in contact with know they were important to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.H. Moeller, Jr., mother, Winnie Kelley and brother, Edwin Kelley. She was a supportive and loving mother to Connie Hand and husband Larry, Brenda Addison and husband Allen. Granny to Stacy Dickens and husband Danny, Jason and Matthew Addison. She was a devoted sister to Maxine Jones (Bob) of Athens, AL, Floretta Rebber of Destin, FL, Fay Davidson (Mac) of Freeport, FL and James Edward Kelley of Bay Minnette, AL.; she will be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Barton, Rev. Bruce Barton and Rev. Tony Antonelli officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. Asked to serve as pallbearers: Grandsons, Jason Addison and Matthew Addison, nephew, Bobby Jones, Gregory Burkett, Stan Dillard and Ethan Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be the ladies of her Athlea Sunday school class and Evelyn Strickland. In lieu of flowers those desiring to do so may make a memorial contribution to the Gideon Bible Ministry, P.O. Box 685, Panama City, Florida 32402 or Covenant Hospice, 107 West 19th Street, Panama City, Florida 32405 in Alene's name.
