Albert Eugene "Gene" Norton, 82, of Panama City passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022.  He was born April 18, 1940, in Kingsland, Georgia.  He was a retired electrical and instrumentation supervisor at the papermill.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Nettie Norton; brother, Roy, and sister, Ruby.  He is survived by his wife, Janice Norton; four children, Pam Thornal (F.M.), Sher Allan (Bryan Johnson), Rod Allan (Kim), and Jeff Allan (Kelly); two brothers, Joseph Norton and Andy Norton; and six grandchildren.  A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.  Those desiring may make memorial donations to Sims VA Nursing Home or the American Cancer Society in memory of Gene Norton.
