Ajetta Bodiford Bass, 94, of Panama City, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. She was born August 23, 1921 in Hosford, Florida. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, where she was a former director of the W.M.U. and was the director of the church's clothing closet ministry for 28 years. She was a lifetime member of the Panama City Garden Club, Red Bud Circle. She was preceded in death by husband Henry Obie Bass, daughter Marilyn Maye Kinney, sister Gwen Boyett and brother James Bodiford. She is survived by daughters Trina Klein (Bruce), Dianne Clifton (Lee), Linda Leake (Ronnie); 14 grandchildren: Deonne Flowers (Tracy), Kerrie Lynn Wilton (Michael), Cary (CHIP)Dozier, Kristi Rhodes (Brett), Leslie Gould, Donovan Clifton (Stephanie), Melanie Nelson (David), Skye Clifton, Seth Clifton, Shiloh Boyd, Joey Leake(Sheena), Justin Leake (Angie), Jordan Leake, William Maye (Margaret), 21 great grandchildren: Roger Phoenix (Paige), Kiriana Wilton, Jazz Wilton, Gabrielle Dozier, Savannah Dozier, Dylan Dozier, Cole Dozier, Elainie Dozier, Hunter Dozier, Austin Rhodes, Cooper Rhodes, Mark Gould, Alex Gould, Jordan Gould, Connor Clifton, Caitlyn Clifton, Valor Boyd, Faith Boyd, Austin Leake, Jaxon Leake, Ashley Turner(Chris), Kevin Maye and a great-great-grandson Evan Phoenix; sister-in-law, Jane Bodiford; and numerous beloved Boyett, Bodiford, Bass, Leake, and Singley family nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Fellowship Hall Sanctuary at First Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Ellison and Rev. Bill Sears officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons; William, Donovan, Joey, Seth, Roger, Justin, Jordan and Valor. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Friday Night Widows Group.
