Adrien Arthur Rivard Jr, MD passed away at home on October 7, 2024. He was born on October 4, 1937, in Crestview, Florida to Adrien Arthur Rivard Sr and Ruth Lounsberry.

Adrien lived an idyllic boyhood growing up in DeFuniak Springs, Florida with summers spent at Blue Mountain Beach. It was a time when little boys rode bikes, fished and joined the Boy Scouts. He was a very proud Eagle Scout.

He graduated from Walton High School in 1955 and attended the University of Florida for one year. Adrien transferred to Emory University where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree and completed a general surgery residency. He served two years in the United States Air Force and in 1972 moved to Panama City. Adrien joined the surgical practice of Dixon McCloy, MD and Ted Wilson, MD. He retired in 2004 after practicing 32 years.

Adrien's greatest joy were his children. There are no words to describe how much he cherished Angela, Cathy and Bo. They meant everything to him. They always called him "Daddy".

In 1984 he married his soulmate, Edy. She brought Tiffany, Wendy and John into Adrien's life. They adored him and called him "Papa".

Adrien and Edy would have celebrated their 40th Anniversary on October 20th. The love they shared was magical, every day was a "first date". He will forever be her "Prince Charming" and she will always be his "Miss Bug".

He is predeceased by his parents Adrien and Ruth Rivard.

He is survived by his wife, Edy Rivard; one sister, Judy Harris; one brother, Robert Rivard; six children, Angela (Derrick) Bennett, Cathy (Rex) Harrison, Adrien Arthur "Bo" Rivard III (Nicole), Tiffany (French) McMillan, Wendy (Donnie) Baker, John Entrekin; seventeen grandchildren, Audrey Adams, Kali Garza, Mary Beth Howard, Grace Joseph, Ginny Laatsch, Zac Bennett, Ben Harrison, Jacob Harrison, Caleb Harrison, Walker Rivard, Duncan Rivard, Sabrina Rivard, Ava McMillan, Jackson McMillan, Lola McMillan, Jule McMillan, Myles Entrekin and numerous great grandchildren.

A private family graveside service was held.
