ADELE MARIE CAMP RICKER

Adele Marie "Grandma" Camp Ricker, 93, of Panama City Beach, Florida, died November 27, 2007 in a local hospital. She was a former resident of Monticello, Indiana for 65 years. She was the only daughter of William and Hulda Hannaman Camp and in 1931 married Elbridge Gerry "Doc" Ricker. Mr. and Mrs. Ricker owned and operated Rickers Resort on Lake Freeman in Monticello. Mr. Ricker retired from Northern Indiana Public Service Company in 1972. There retirement years were spent traveling and wintering in Florida. Adele was a former 50 year member of Delta Theta Tau Philanthropic Society, Order of the Easter Star, Tippecanse Country Club and the Monticello Presbyterian Church. She loved and was an avid bridge player. She was also known as "Grandma" from Pineapple Willies Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Elbridge, son-in-law, Ron Cottrell and grandson, Arick Cottrell. Adele is survived by two daughters, Nancy Criswell and husband Ed of FL, Carol Cottrell of Bringhurst, IN, grandchildren, Julee Newberry and husband Van, Jill Kueffer, Jason Hively, Aron Cottrell and wife Jennifer, great grandchildren, Trevor Newberry, Morgan Adele Newberry, Alanna Kueffer, Michael Kueffer, Jared Hively, great great grandchild, Nicole Kueffer. Per Mrs. Rickers wishes, she will be donated to science with cremation to follow. Memorials may be made to Beach Care Services, 8317 Front Beach Road, Panama City Beach, Florida 32407 in memory of Adele Ricker. The family wishes to thank friends at the Sun Bird Condominiums and especially Bill, Mary and "the children" at Pineapple Willies who enriched our mothers elder years with their special kindness.
