A. Morgan Williams Jr., 70, of Panama City, FL, died Friday, October 26, 2007 in his home.

Mr. Williams, a life long resident of the area, was the son of the late A. Morgan Williams, Sr. and Marie Pitts Williams.

He graduated from Bay High School in 1954 and received a Bachelor's in Building Construction from Auburn University in 1960. He then attended Florida State University in 1966 to complete graduate work toward Certified Public Accountant certification. He maintained a private CPA practice in Panama City until his recent retirement.

A. Morgan was a member of the Chamber of Commerce where he served on the Board of Directors as well as Chairman of Transportation. He also served as Treasurer, Vice Commodore and Commodore of the Saint Andrews Bay Yacht Club and Treasurer of the American Red Cross. He was a long time member of First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Williams was predeceased by his brothers Charles Amos and Raymond Lee Williams and a daughter Deborah Williams Tipton. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Carole Law Williams of Panama City; a daughter Pamela Williams Daigle, a granddaughter Kendra Robinson and great-grandsons, Tyler and Brayden Robinson all of Charlotte, NC and a granddaughter Jennifer Morgan Tipton of Jacksonville, FL.

The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, October 28 from 4-6 PM. Funeral services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Monday, October 29 at 1 PM with Dr David Warren and Dr Floyd Wright officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Mike Thomas, George Thomas, Frank Russell, Jimmy Williams, William Adams, Fleming Law, Jr., Charley Gramling, Lamar Hutchinson, Max Fleming, Wayne King, and Allen Pope.
