Donald Edward Couchigian

U.S. Veteran

Donald Edward Couchigian, 81, of Panama City, Florida, passed away June 22, 2012 in his home. He was born October 27, 1930 in Douglas, North Dakota. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force. After retiring from the United States Air Force, he was a captain for fishing and marine boats for a number of years. He was a member of the St. John Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Agnes Couchigian; and a daughter, Laura Jane Couchigian. He is survived by his wife, Annie Jane Raffield Couchigian; daughter, Donna Ann Couchigian; son, Richard Allan Couchigian; daughter-in-law, Cindy Couchigian; 4 grandchildren, Alicia Burford and husband Bobby, April Goodson and husband, Mark, Amy Couchigian and Abbie Couchigian; 4 great grandchildren, Brennan Burford, Anderlyn Burford, Landon Goodson and Colby Goodson; 3 brothers, William Couchigian and wife, Mavis, Ben Couchigian, Mike Couchigian and wife Doris; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Evon Raffield, Alton and Alma Evans, Betty and Vern Hammond and Charles and Pam Raffield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the St. John Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Those desiring to may make a donation to the charity of your choice in memory of Donald Edward Couchigian.
